Any ideas anyone?? He's a big 5mo so sleep postioner won't be any good, just tried fashioning my own out of 2 rolled up blankets and put the either side of him and he laughed and just pulled them on to of himself as if to say 'can't stop me mummy!!'

I understand from a previous post that its ok for him to sleep on his tummy if he's does it himself so not panicing about that (well trying not to) its just that he won't settle back to sleep on his tum if he wakes.....
If he stirs in the night he always used to self settles within a few mins before he started rolling but now if he stirs and he's on his tum he's wakes fully and cries for us as he can't turn back himself over, this has been at 3,5,4and 3 am the last few nights, anyone got any suggestions as to how help this??

Or how long it'll take him to learn to roll back onto his back !!!

Cheers

Oh arse, I feel your pain, mine did this but only for a few nights, so fingers crossed yours works it out soon.

Otherwise......safety pin the grobag to the mattress??

Yep, mine did this too, it was grim. I tied two pillows to the cot bars, one on each side of her. That worked, probably against all the laws of safety but it got us all sleep again.

DD now ALWAYS sleeps on her front.

Teach him to sleep on his front at daytime naps so when he rolls he can go back to sleep. Basically put him down for naps on his front and sh pat him until he goes to sleep. Should get the hang of it after a few hoes.

I had this problem too.My DD slept on her tummy from birth (I know you are not meant to!)then she would roll onto her back & not like it.
I tucked her in really tightly with a blanket over her tucked under the mattress then put 2 rolled up blankets down the side of the cot between the bars & mattress to make it really tight! & she was fine after that & is still tucked in now even though she is in a bed.
