Daytime naps.... Should ds be in his cot???

Hi everyone,

Ds is 13 weeks old.

During the day I'm trying to be reasonably chilled out about his sleeps (after being a bit too obsessed about routine in the first 8 weeks or so....) and let him sleep when needs/wants to but he's fallen into this rough routine;
feeds - about 7.30, 11.30,3.30,6.30
naps - 3O-40mins about 9am and 11am, 1-2hrs about 12/12.30/1ish and mins and another 30-40mins about 4/5pm ish

Anyway..... I don't really try put him down in his cot for these daytime naps as he stopped settling easily in his cot in the day around 7/8 weeks, I just let him fall asleep on his playmat or in his bouncy chair and a we're out and about so often that nap times usually coincide with him being in the car or the buggy so he sleeps really well..... He just doesn't sleep that brilliantly if were at home all day, he may have only 40 mins or so in middle of the day or miss one of his other naps......

He goes into his cot awake at night and settles to sleep well and sleeps 7pm till half 6/7amish (for now!!! ......)

I think really I'm asking if this all sounds ok and is it alright that he doesn't sleep in his cot during the day and that he doesn't sleep that well when were at home?????

Thanks ladies

Sounds perfect . I wouldn't change a thing.

there is no 'should' with babies, no definate things you have to do (apart from tend to their needs and keep them safe).

Let him sleep whereever.

Sounds wonderful. i can count on my fingers the number of times DS slept in his cot during the day (he was a nightmare getting to sleep daytimes), but would sleep fine in it at night.

If it works for you then brilliant.
