Baby fighting sleep

My 12 week old DS really fights sleep when he is clearly tired (yawning, rubbing eyes, etc). He sometimes cries for over 30 mins and we only manage to get him to sleep by rocking him for ages or taking him for a walk. This happens at every sleep time but is particularly bad in the evenings when he is most tired (we have a good bedtime routine - bottle, bath, but then bed is always a fight!)

Is there anything we can do to get him to sleep without all the drama and stress??

With my dd, I have to catch her before she gets overtired (and there is a very small window of opportunity!). During the day I knwo she will start to get tired 2 hours after waking so if I try to put her down, sometimes by lying with her, about 5 minutes before the 2 hour mark, then she will generally drop off without a fuss. The same goes for the evening, if she is overtired she does the same thing to your ds. SO again, I try to make sure she has a nap around 4ish so that she is tired, but not overtired by around 7. I hope that makes sense. Good luck with it! xxx

We have the same problem. Have managed to get the crying down to around 10 minutes by using sleep association. He has a musical seahorse (£15 from Argos) that plays music with a light for five minutes, getting quieter and dimmer. Sometimes it has to be played more than once, but it seems to help
Good luck and huge hug as I know how stressful it can be xx
