Recommendations for toddler proof sleeping bags?

That's it really.
But perhaps should add DD (19 mo) is showing some early houdini-like skills. She sleeps in a cot in a sleeping bag but recently I find she has managed to escape from all her sleeping bags. Had one with front zip and velcro tab covering the zip end at the top - she escaped from that. Tried a side zip one with popper tab covering the zip end at the top - she escaped from that too. Finally tried a grobag toddler one, front zip with extra firm popper tab covering zip end at the bottom. Went in this morning to find her halfway out of that.

Anyone got any other recommendations for different styles of sleeping bag or keeping her in the ones she has. I'm not very keen to switch to duvet or sheets & blankets as she'll just kick them off, and I know she wakes if she gets too cold.

LOL! Toddlers a? I would probably admit defeat and just put extra clothes and a duvet on her to go to bed, that way, if she does manage to kick the duvet off then she will have the extra layers to keep her warm. When my heating packed in a few months ago I would dress DS up in a long sleeved vest, fleecy all in one pyjamas and a thick woolley jumper. He could barely move but I knew he was snug! Check out the [[http://www.gro.co.uk/ grobag] website for some ideas!

I have to confess to using a safety nappy pin about an inch from the bottom of the zip so that no matter what she unpoppers the zip does not go up. I am not ready to give up the sleeping bag even if she can escape!

Liking the safety nappy pin idea

Put the one that has the zip up the front on backwards. Preferably the one that zips from the bottom up. She'd need to have dislocatable shoulders to get out it then. This worked for my similarly houdini-esque dd1. Its the only way.

Good thinking Esme, thanks

That was an amazing idea I've started having the same problem and I've done that she made a fuss at first but now she's admitted defeat hahahaha such a good idea don't know why I didn't think of it
