lots at Amazon

Mine came from Ebay - Blinds Megastore / Corbie blinds, I think. You can either buy them sized or get the standard size and cut them down to the size you want. They are reasonably priced and delivery very quickly.

Homebase and B&Q do many sizes, many colours and even some with patterns. All reasonably priced. All 3 of my DD's have them in their rooms. Infact DD3 (9 months old) is out like a light in her lovely dark room as I type. .

Make sure you do a better job with it than we did. There is a blackout roller blind in DD's room that proved completely useless as the light just came in around the edges. There's now a blind from www.easyblindsonline.co.uk behind it that velcros to the window frame. Not pretty, but it does the job!

i got the gro anywhere blackout blind for holidays, its up on our window at the moment, has suckers... Ds who is ten still has a blackout roller blind from b&q and i have seen some cheap in wilkinsons for dd's room...

I got one from Ikea for DS. It was about 9 quid. As far as I can remember, they only do them in off-white, but they come in loads of sizes.

second the gro anywhere blind - its great. We have a blackout roller blind (light comes in around the sides), then backed it up with blackout lined curtains (some light still gets in) finally the gro anywhere blind did the trick as it attaches directly to the window. Its about £30 and fab for taking away as well.

I recommend easy blinds. We have one of theirs and it works a treat :-)

DrivenToDistraction · 15/04/2010 16:12

We got ours from Ikea too, they do black as well as off white, well they do here anyway (not in the UK).

DrivenToDistraction · 15/04/2010 16:12

gah. i mean I'm not in the UK, not sure about the blinds...

DrDoobs · 15/04/2010 20:20

I think you have to hang the blind on the outside of the window recess to work properly - so that there is overlap around the edges of the window.

We use blackout material and parcel tape after failing to get screws into the lintel - not pretty but it works.

2old4thislark · 15/04/2010 20:26

Ikea - v dark navy blue - cheap as chips.

We got ours from Argos as blinds but then we moved her to a different room, didn't want to put up the blind, so got some cheap curtains from Dunelm
