night feeding

Am a bit confused. DS is nine weeks old and am not expecting her to sleep through the night of course!! However, I'm not sure whether I should wake her for a feed during the night or whether I should wait until she 'asks' for one. At the moment, she goes to sleep around 8.30, about an hour and a half after a bottle (it takes that long for her to drift off!) and naturally wakes at around 1.30 for a feed. Last few nights I have woken her at midnight as I thought I would gradually bring the time back to around 10.30, hoping she would sleep for a longer stretch after that. I know I will still probably have to feed her around 2 -4 am after that but what if she doesn't wake? Should I wake her? N.B. she was a small baby - 5lb 11oz when born so is still slightly below av weight around 9 and half pounds I know this can make a difference to feeding. Any advice?

I would say don't wake her, but I only have experience with a heavy, BF baby. IME it's no good trying to tweak their sleep times - they wake whenever they want and they change their routine so often anyway it's hard to keep up!
