Positive thread for a change DD is 7.5 months, and has until just now, slept tightly swaddled and tucked in, wouldn't have it any other way! I have just bitten the bullet, put her down to sleep in her sleeping bag half an hour earlier than usual to give time for fighting against being unswaddled.. and she has now been asleep for 30 minutes without so much as a peep !

I have asked for advice about getting her out of it numerous times over the months, so thanks to anybody who helped and hopefully any parents of swaddle addicts can take some hope from this

Awww hope it lasted all night

It's always nice when you think something is going to be bad and you're pleasantly surprised ottherwise

I've had that a few times with mine, I've kept putting something off as I thought it'd be a nightmare and was proved wrong!

I chickened out of swaddling her last night but kept her unswaddled for her last nap yesterday, and again this morning (she has been asleep for 1h 20mins and usually only manages 30mins in the morning!)

I'm going try and get her used to it with the daytime naps for a week I think, then bravely try nights swaddle free wish me luck!

I think once they can make themselves more comfy it helps with sleep. They do tend to adjust sleep wise quite nicely at this age too. Mine started to take a nice morning nap and a shorter one in the afternoon at this age.

Hope the swaddling weaning continues to go well
