co-sleeping dilemma

As a paranoid first time Mum, I would value some advice from fellow co-sleepers. My little girl sleeps in a bedside cot (getting too small for her now and I cannot find a brio/ global cot anywhere...) or in our bed now that she has learnt to roll over.

I feel really uneasy leaving her in the bedroom on her own during naptimes. I always worry that she will get stuck between her bed and the big bed (despite the gap being filled in) or that she will roll off the big bed. How do you put your babies to sleep?

And also, do you put a sleeping bag on your baby as soon as she gets tired? Or cover her up with a blanket once she is asleep? Again - I'm just so paranoid about cot deaths that I have been very reluctant to cover her with a blanket, but as soon as I put her in her sleeping bag, she starts complaining because she knows it's naptime and wakes herself up with it. Any advice appreciated!!!

Don't co-sleep so can't help re the big bed dilemma, but I lay my DD's sleeping bag open in her cot, so when I put her down it's very easy for me to do it up while I sing to her to distract her (if needed - mostly not) it stops any faffing around and means she can stay drowsy. HTH

i used to just leave ds2 on the bed. once he was rolling around i just piled pillows all over the place (inc the floor just in case!)

we never used grobags, only blankets, so just fed him to sleep and then covered him up
