crawling/climbing while asleep

I have posted a couple of times recently about DD (nearly 10mo) and her mad current night times. This week I decided to bite the bullet and just bring her in to bed in order to get some sleep. I became really frustrated when she began crawling around the bed and mewling/putting her cheek (and whole head!) on mine to sleep etc etc. A couple of nights I realised that she's actually asleep through this whole procedure and what wakes her is banging in to the head board, my stopping her crawling/standing.

Last night I watched her in the cot and sure enough she wakes when she cant crawl any further at the edges of her cot.

Has anyone experienced this or how to help the situation? Arghh!

This forum is just brilliant for these types of things! My little DS is 10 and a half months and is keeping us very amused but awake for most of the night whilst he sits up, crawls, rocks back and forth on all fours and then eventually wakes hismself up when he bangs his head on the side or gets stuck up one end!! I am thinking of dropping his 9am nap now as I'm sure this will help him stay awake at night, we are also finding he is waking up at 5am instead of his normal 6.45am......! Crawling started just over a week ago so must be down to that, he is just too excited at his new found talent and wants to do it all night too! We are very tired and hoping this stops soon!!

I moved my son into the travel cot in the lounge as I was heading to bed, as I could no longer sleep with his shenanigans in his cot once I went to bed and I was getting exhausted.

The sides are soft so I couldn't hear bangs and he slept better and so did I. Once he started sleeping better at night again (outgrown this stage) I moved him in with his sister.

I live in a 2 bed flat though and everything is on the same floor, so I could hear him from my bedroom ok though.
