What do you do when they WILL NOT go to sleep?

the dds have been mucking around upstairs for an hour now.

they have to share a room as we have builders in.

They will not settle.

I have threatened, cajoled and now finally lost it.

But they are still bouncing around up there. The 2.5 year old is yelling her head off (playing, not crying).

What on earth do I do now?

have gone up to do story tape and dd1 is asleep and dd2 finally laying down so backed out quickly but silently

Well mine are both asleep but dd will be serenading us from her cot at 5am again tomorrow morning...
