Hello,

Just put my 5 month old DD to bed and the monitor says 14 0c- the heatings on and she's in a vest, sleepsuit, grobag, cardigan, and 2 blankets (1 wooly 1 fleecey) will she be OK? I don't think I have a thermostat on my boiler and know the heating is on but its freezing round here. Will she cry if she's cold? Or will she get silently really ill during the night?

Sorry for the incoherant panic

Our old house was FREEZING.

It was frequently that temp and lower in the night when our heating was off altogether. Sounds like she is well wrapped up and will be just fine, especially if you have your heating on.

...and being too hot is more dangerous.

Tbh, I'd dispense with a blanket.

She will be fine. Sounds as though she has plenty of layers on. The ideal temp is 16 degrees, so it's not much colder.

TBH most babies suffer more from being too hot than too cold.

If she is cold she will cry. Being a little chilly shouldn't make her ill - just a bit grumpy.

Thanks nicky, I always check her just before I go to bed (about 9,30) so I'll take it off then- her cardigan is open and very light (I only out it on as her arms were blue this morning

pip's right - she will let you know if she is chilly!
