Is sleep in bouncy chair harmful?

I'm having various sleeping issues with my 12wk DD - 40 mins night wakings - screaming battles with naps etc etc.
But the one thing that does seem to work like a charm is putting her in her vibrating chair - she goes straight off and I can rock her back to sleep if she wakes.
I obviously TRY and put her in her cot, and she'll sleep there for the odd 40 mins stint at night, not really much during the day - but when she's overtired, or I'm exhausted at night - I do just put her in the bouncy chair and she goes off. My question is, is this harmful?
I'm grateful for a way of making her sleep, but I don't want to be doing her spine any damage. Any wise words??
TIA

my ds3 slept a lot in the day in his bouncy chair.
Can you transfer dd from the bouncy chair into a cot once she's dropped off to sleep maybe?

Hi

Not sure whether it's a question for a 12 week old, but there is a debate re: car seats and desaturation in newborns (oxygen not circulating properly).

That debate centers on evidence that their organs can get squashed when they're not lying flat, so I guess it largely depends upon the angle of the chair. (Mine had two settings, one more upright, one more flat, so I set it to the flatter one when she slept).

I'm sure rocking seat designers have taken these all into account though, but if you want to find out more google car seat desaturation infants (or something like that) sorry - school run, have to go!

I'm sure if you look around the internet you'll find out lots about it, or possible FSID?

DS1 spent ome whole nights in his rocking car seat. Two totally shattered parents falling asleep by accident caused no harm but we did'nt do it on purpose.
