Title says it all really.... I'm exhausted, DH is sleeping in the room so it doesn't disturb him so much. Will it get better on its own or is there anything I can try? TIA

No advice I'm afraid but I just wanted to offer my sympathy and support- I'm going through exactly the same thing with my ds ATM. Darn 4 month growth spurt!!

Just take great satisfaction at her weigh-ins and keep repeating that it won't last!

Thanks Paranoid. Thing is, her feeding patterns haven't really changed since birth, so I'm not sure it's a growth spurt - maybe that's still to come

DD1 started sleeping through (12 hours every night) at this exact age which feels as if it'll never happen - I'd happily settle for 3-4 hours between feeds at the moment!!

You're right though, her weight-gain has been great, which is the one consolation. Would love to get a better night's sleep though, and to have DH back in our room - DD1 has started calling the spare room "Daddy's bedroom"

Oh dear, you must be exhausted. I've found it bad enough after about 5 weeks of multiple night wakings! Although I must admit that I too am wondering if/when it will end!

Does she feed as often as that in the day? They may be able to give you some advice on reverse cycling in breast and bottle feeding if that's the case. Or can you persuade her to take more milk at each feed?

The days are more variable, depending on whether we're out (in which case she feeds less often) or in.

She feeds very quickly (5-10 minutes) but I can't seem to get her to take more, even though I feel that might help. She's so different from DD1 who used to have very slow, lazy 1-hour feeds.

What's reverse cycling? I might try googling / searching MN....

It's when they feed more in the night than the day, but I'm not sure if that's what your dd is doing. My ds seems to feed very quickly too- that's the problem with bfing; you don't know how much they've had!! I'm endlessly groping myself to work out if I'm less full or not!

I know what you mean!
