does anyone else find that this disturbs everyone's sleep as much as put your mind at rest? mine went off 3 times in an hour last night with no discernible problems with ds....do you think i'm doing it wrong?

Is that the listening device? Because I always heard DD screaming, only to get to her cot and find she was fine. Took me weeks to work out I was listening to a neighbour's baby. If it's any help I stopped using the baby monitor after DC1, and I'm now on DC4.

ha! it's the alarm part of the device, it's supposed to sound if he stops breathing/moving for 20 seconds - keeps going off but nothing wrong with ds. he's a strong baby, almost 5 mths, so i think maybe it's more useful for daytime naps and will rely on my own hearing at night time....

Unfortunately not.....I see now that I should have researched more before buying....the idea is surely to give me peace of mind that ds is ok, not wake me every twenty minutes with a mini heart attack! maybe i'll just use it as a walkie talkie.....
