Is there anyone who would use a sleep nanny here interested in striking a barter-esque deal?

I want to go back to doing behaviour management and sleep training while I study - been thinking about it a lot recently and I'm sorting my OU course out this week, but for the work side of things I'd need a website set up.

So, was just wondering if there were any mnetters thinking of using a sleep nanny who either web design or have dp/dh who web designs who'd be up for a skills exchange?

I haven't got ready funds to pay for a website, but could afford hosting. My exdp did my previous site but had to fold everything when we separated.

By the way, I don't think this contravenes mumsnet policy re. advertising (not got a business to advertise yet!) but please do say if you think my post does.

where are you hobbgoblin?

puffling · 02/04/2009 10:52

Yes where are you? My friend desperately needs help with her ds's sleep.

Hi, I'm Herts but in the past I covered London as this was where I lived and it is still close enough to. Have worked Hampshire, Kent, Oxfordshire, and pretty much all round the M25!

Now I'm a little further North I could entertain a little further North than Oxfordshire and possibly Yorkshire/Lancashire, with planning, as family are there so I do travel that way occasionally.

Hope that helps!

Should also add I have an enhanced CRB as I work with children and families in my existing position.

well my hubby has a bit of experience but we live in Kent so thinking that this is too far? do you do personal visits or is it more of a phone thing?

hobbgoblin · 04/04/2009 18:26

Hi lovelymama

Kent would be fine, I've worked with a mumsnetter in Maidstone so know down as far as that but anywhere in Kent is fine, really.

I do one to one work with the family and aim to see as much pre-bed routine as possible and also like to work with both parents if applicable/possible. I follow up with telephone and email support.

I can also do solely telephone and email advice but the only reason this isn't my preference is quite often it doesn't give me the whole picture in terms of what a family is like and what will work best for them.

You can email me at [email protected]

Hobbgoblin. So sorry, DH says he's just got too much on at the moment at work and is too knackered in the evening to so the amount of work a new website would take.

I'm really sorry if I've wasted your time - I hope you have some luck finding someone

Hobbgoblin,

I'm in need of some sleep training help for my 6 month old ds2 and my dp does a good basic website. It isn't his job, but could set you up with a address and site with a good design to get you started. What sort of exchange were you thinking off?

hobbgoblin · 07/04/2009 20:39

Hi Strike1

I'm thinking of offering typical sleep training package of 1 home visit (worth £150-£200) or 2 home visits (£300-£400) with follow up email support in both cases in exchange for simple website detailing contact info, services, qualifications/recommendations.

I had a site previously so hopefully wouldn't be too much of a 'mare to work with in terms of setting out the design/knowing what I want. ExDP was a web designer so I know a bit about what is do-able and what isn't!

Where are you?

You can email me sleepandbehaviour at googlemail dot com

I don't want to post too much detail here as it could start to become too much of an advert and I haven't paid for advertiser status yet

Just giving this a final bump as no offers, er, in the offing!
