Why are you swapping him over so soon? Kept my Ds in his until nearly a year and it took one week of being unsettled a couple of times a night before he was back to sleeping through.

He is a big boy (98th centile) so looking a bit squished Can I get another spring? more concerned about width and length than weight though.

You can get a heavier baby spring but tbh you probably don't need it. My DS was also very big (similar percentile!)

As they get bigger they do look more cosy but if your DS is sleeping well then I wouldn't bother. If he is anything like my DS the nest is a godsend especially through teething phases.

However, if you need to then what I would suggest is not moving the nest at all as your DS goes to sleep for a while to let him get used to being still, as that was our difficulty. DS had got used to the movement so a cot was too still! It did only take about a week though and looking back it wasn't as bad as I thought!
As you can tell I loved the nest and so did my DS.

I have taken your advice and decided to leave him in it for the time being, there is still some room length wise so I guess he will be fine for now. I am such a fan of these, wish I had had one for my DD

I know I have become evangelical about them, have recommended them to lots of people but only the brave dare try! Those that have though have been rewarded with sleep, what more does any new mum want?!

Just to confirm what MaB said - I had DD in the Amby until 11 months. She also 98th percentile for height and weight, so don't worry too much about being squashed, they seem to like it. Hammocks are bloody wonderful, aren't they!
