dd2 hates her cot, this has recently grown to the point where she's taking her daytime naps in the pushchair, and wakes every hour and half and can't re-settle. the only way she does settle is if I fed her. In the night she comes into bed and remains there, with an all night buffet.

help!

do you get her to sleep cuddling her? does she have a dummy?

do you think she doesn't like the going from warm mummyhug to cold cot? you could try putting a hot water bottle on the mattress to warm it up first

How long since you popped in to check on her?

Lindenlass · 19/02/2009 20:45

go and get her then!

How old is she?Could it be time for a bed?My dd2 is 19 months and suddenly hates her cot.In fact she is now in DD1's bed and DD1 is on the sofa bed till we can get her her own bed at the weekend.
Anything to get some peace

she normally goes to sleep feeding, but wakes a little as I transfer her to her cot then resettles. she doesn't have a dummy, I have tried! but she does have a 'sleepy bear', the ones which make the white noise, and has had it from birth.

she is one next week, so def too early for a bed!

success anyway I was checking up every 5 mins, but instead just recited sleepy me until i bored her to sleep.

So she is asleep? Great

Forget the bed unless she is a climber. DD is 2.5 and still in her cotbed. She never climbs on anything

I did "CC" and left her 2 mins, 5 mins, 7 then was going to go in at a 9 min and she was asleep

It is not a cure all. Teething, colds, tummy bugs can take you right back to the start. However I have found that once you have done it your LO is much more settled and you are much happier. I can deal with sleepless nights through illness etc. If she was still taking 3 hours to get to sleep now I would be bald, unemployed and divorced.
