Right- i have a pair of little sods darlings who see fit to illuminate their bedroom and the hallway and bathroom at 5am. In the process waking me and 13month dtd's.

At 5 am this morning i'd had it- enough was enough and i removed every light bulb i could get my hands on- problem is that now the top half of the house is plunged into darkness of an evening.

Is there anything we can buy to solve this- some form of remote control device so that only i can turn on lights etc! used to have the whole nightlight on a timer thing but they figured that out as well!

Lol! This www.babyproofingplus.com/item2305.htm was recommended on another site. It's from Canada tho.

would prob last all of a day until they managed to destroy it! It took 2 days for them to crack the nightlight timer switch

really i want something to plug into the bulb socket bit that stops the light being turned on with a remote type thing to disable it iyswim.

OR a timer that plugs into the bulb socket which can be set for specific times- all the ones i've found have been random on/off.

Can't they have a nightlight or can't you close the bedroom door? If they are scared of the dark it seems a bit cruel to not allow them any light. Or could you buy them a torch?

Are they wanting the toilet at 5am? Surely you would prefer a light being on at 5am to changing stinky sheets?

OK, I understand you might want to save the planet, but there are low energy light bulbs.

I can't help wondering if it is you or your pair of darlings being a sod.

its got nothing to do with saving the planet- i want to sleep!!

They have a glow led in their room and on the landing so can see where to get to the loo- they are 5 btw- changing sheets at 5am is not an issue!

The issue is them getting up at 5 am and proceeding to play 'Sportacus' involving lots of bouncing, jumping and shouting thus waking everyone in the bloody house!

If they can't turn light on they will not be able to wreak such havoc and therefore i may get some much needed sleep.

Don't know where they sell it, but I know you can get devices which allow you to remotely switch off a plug. My boss has fitted them to his wifes radio plug socket so he can switch the radio off when she's fallen asleep!

Obv he's too lazy to get out of bed and press the off button.
