At what age shall i put my in his own room?

Hes in his cot bed in our room at the moment. He's 11 weeks tomorrow. how long shall he stay in our room?

I think my children went into their own room at about six months - that was because they were feeding in the night and it was easier.

The recommendation is until 6 months.
But I think that the real answer is as long as you are both happy with the situation.
I wanted to keep mine with me until 6 months but I moved dd into her own room at 5 months as every little noise i made woke her up and unsettled her.

moved mine out within days as sounded like a farmyard as he slept- so noisy grunting! I used baby monitor, but turned it off as was so in tune with his waking, and moans, and woke instantly. Even now (age 3) i wake at the rustle of his quilt falling off! (why doesn't dh????)

same as tigi, just couldn't sleep with either ds1 or ds2 in same room. had monitor on full blast in case, but really just needed to sleep when they did. (isn't that what they keep on telling us?

I really admire you two!! But didn't you hear all that noise through the monitor? And didn't that keep you awake too? For me, they made all that noise too, but I couldn't sleep through that effing monitor. Here speaks the person whose dds still sleep with their parents at 5 and 6 - so who am I to voice an opinion!!

my dp is a noisy sleeper and wakes ds whenever he moves. and of corse its me who has to get ds back to sleep!

I know the recommendation is 6 months bt dd was in the moses basket in the cot in her own room at about 2 weeks. I had PND and also anxiety and so didn't sleep as was always watching dd breathing - got a bit paranoid about it. Had baby monitor in our room - right at the side of my head and was always listening to that but TBH dd has been such a good sleeper - she was too young to notice the transfer and so has always been used to her own room.

ds1 and ds2 were both in their own room by 4 weeks - couldnt stand the noise as both were snuffly babies, between baby and snoring from dp thought there was a conspriracy! Had baby monitor with sensor pad so didn't feel too anxious about moving them- rested mum better than tired and stressed mum!

Why dont you kick dp out to the baby's room?

Id miss him too much! (sad isn't it)
