please tell me this is a growth spurt!

I have googled this but apparently growth spurts only happen up to 1 year of age, which can't be true!

He was quite ill a couple of weeks ago and so when he was better he fed for england for a couple of days. fine, but i think it might have become a habit. he's eating fine during the day.

please someone tell me it's a growth spurt and he'll stop of his own accord

he was off his food a bit when he was ill but is eating normally now.

tbh i think it's habit because he screamed for the bottle last night (I was trying to get him to go cold turkey ) and then he only had 3 ounces and went to sleep.

Growth spurts happen until we're done growing, around what? 18 years? 21 years? They're just not as clearly defined as they are in the first 6 months in terms of at X weeks/months/years. DS DEFINITELY had growth spurts at 11, 12 and 13 months, of 2 weeks long each. Unfortunately it might be the dawning of the molar monster leading to the night feeds instead of the growth spurt, however.

gah! not molars not yet! hopefully just a growth spurt

My DS started waking and being extremely upset around 13mths -

it was molars

four came through pretty much together and so none of us got much sleep for about a month.

I didn't feed him any milk during the night as I didn't want him to form a bad habit,
but did resort to Calpol Night rather alot, as this was the only thing which took the pain away and got him back to sleep.
