My 8 month dd has been until recently a pretty good sleeper - 7pm-7am (save 1 or 2 hiccups) but this week she's started waking earlier and earlier. Today it was 5.07 am. With the clocks going forward on Saturday night I'm at a loss to know what to do. Sunday's 7pm will actually only be 6pm, too early for her to go to bed, so I anticipate a f*ing early start on Monday... any suggestions form all you seasoned mums out there?

go to bed earlier too as IME there's bugger all you can do to stop them waking and if you try and make them stay in bed they'll scream the house down and wake the whole street.

have you got blackout blinds? imo they are worth every penny at this time of year.
if your DD has been sleeping 12 hours, then she almost certainly still needs to, and is just stuck in a rut of early wakings. How long do you leave her to resettle herself before getting her up?
Don't remember the clocks changing being massively problematic for DD at that age. Things might have been a bit wonky for a day or so, but not for longer than that. Will soon see whether this applies to DS

Oh s**t do they??? HELP - my 3 were in my bed by 5.20am this morning In the winter they happily sleep till nearly 8am.

I don't think an 8-month old would change dramatically from one day to the next.

Personally, I wake up with the sun, so have been up and about from about 6am. Now I'll get a lie-in till 7am! Who said "spring forward"?

The change of time should work the right way round. 5am will be 6 am, so they might even stay asleep longer. (can you tell I'm really hoping my ds will sleep through until 7am!!)

Are the clocks going back tonight. Oh god I don't get enough sleep as it is let alone an hour less!!!

clocks go forward, so she should wake at 6!
