Our 11 month old was ill for a couple of weeks a month ago and during that time slept with us in bed for a couple of nights when really bad.

Now, she will cry to the point of hysterical until we go in and pick her up but as soon as in our bed will sleep perfectly until the morning. This is happening every night!

We have tried the controlled crying but she is getting into such a state that we really can't do it and after 10 minutes she joins us in bed.

Anyone got any advice pleeeeease?

How long has it been happening for? We had this and she stopped herself after couple of weeks. Doing it again now though 6 months later so my advice is prob crap.

We're into 2nd week of coming in with us every night.

She is teething too which may be waking her in the night but it is definitely habit making her cry and scream until she gets into our bed.

So difficult to be angry especially when she rolls off me into the middle of our bed and dozes off to sleep!

Is she warm enough in her bed? Putting a blanket between our dd sheet and mattress and a blanket over her has reduced it to everyother night atm.

Once she is asleep with you, are you able to carry her back to her own bed without waking her? This worked with my DS.

Sorry if this isn't what you want to hear, but does it really matter, or do you just think it should matter?
Our DS is 1 this week and always sleeps in our bed -we like it that way and now it would seem strange to have him sleeping in a cot all night.
Obviously I have no advice at all about how to get a baby to sleep in their cot, just thought I'd add a different perspective to your situation.
