My 2 week old had it today as we were recommended it so many times on mumsnet. Wasn't sure what to expect but it wasn't what I'd thought (a bit 'cosmic' and tree huggy!). Is this really going to do anything - It hasn't made the blindest bit of difference so far but don't know how soon it is meant to have an effect!

wait oh ye of little faith and you shall see.
Seriously, give it a bit, it is worth it.

Was a lifesaver for us. Didn't do it till ds2 was about 6 months yet when could reasonably expect him to be sleeping through the night.

DS 7 months is currently having treatments - he has had 2 so far and we are already seeing improvements in his sleeping. DS used to fight going to sleep and now he will just drift off on his own. He also used to scratch at his head in the day and especially when he was going to sleep and he stopped doing this after the 1st treatment. He still isn't sleeping through but we are pleased that he is more relaxed about sleeping. We are taking him back next week for another treatment as we want to be sure that all areas have been "released" just so that we know he is more comfortable and hopefully sleeping through will follow.

DO IT, DO IT! Be warned the couple of days after they might be a bit worse.

is it expensive?

I had it recently for my 5 month old and it didn't so anything. I was really disappointed as I'd heard so many brilliant things about it. Hopefully it will be better for you. Why are you having it done - colic?

mamachat · 04/07/2008 22:30

We used it for colic for my dd, the first 2 treatments we saw very little or no improvement. Third treatment she was quite alot better, then went backa few steps. Forth treatment she was much better.

My mum and partner were not sure about it, my mum said she probably grew out of the colic (which I new was not true as she was better staright after the 3rd treatment).

My partner admitted that it worked after a few goes...

I think it is great but can be expensive around £30 per session. But well worth it for colic.

I think i will try it for dd's sleep problems...
