How to stop feeding to sleep while co-sleeping

How do you break the feed to sleep cycle when you co sleep? has anyone successfully sleep trained their baby not to feed to sleep while co sleeping?

I have a just turned 6 month old baby and we have been co sleeping and she literally wakes to feed every 45mins and feeds With my older kids, I put them in their own rooms when they were 6 months but I can't do that with this baby due to lack of space.

The feeding constantly at night is damaging my mental health. I have been up since 2am having gone to bed at 11pm (because of constant feeds) and have a full day of appointments today with no rest.

We are going to get her own cot soon but I need her to fall asleep without the boob. Any tips appreciated!

It's typically not recommended to stop night feeds before they are 12 months old, so if you're being woken to feed her anyway it might be the lesser of two evils to keep feeding to sleep? Can she feed lying down? That way you can pretty much let her have open access while you doze so it's much less disruptive than sitting up to feed. It's tough though, I bedshared with both of mine and nightweaned them while bedsharing when they were about 14 months so it is possible, but I'd say probably not at such a young age x

As PP said, it's not recommended to stop night feeds under 12 months. First, go to bed earlier, we're always asleep by 9.30pm, not fun but necessary. Look at her day sleep, it might need reducing so she's more tired at night, or a later bedtime.
