My DD is awake. I am meant to be having an early night, I am tucked up in bed, plate of cheese and bread, big glass of apple juice, half hour on MN, maybe watch holby city repeat from last week.

I am exahusted, and I just want some peace and quiet!

Is it toooo much to ask? One bloody day when I don't have to get up and down up and down like an effing yo-yo.

Why did DH go out tonight. He always goes out when I have an early night, which means I look after DD who always wakes up when I am here on my own.

AND... if I go in to see her in a moment and she has taken a pooey nappy off and spread it like chocolate spread all over herself and her cot, again... I AM GOING TO SCREAM.

There moan over.

Yeesh. Not sleeping is one thing, but dirty protests are quite another! Hope you get your evening soon.

pavlovthecat · 16/06/2008 21:07

beanspout - she is very big on taking her nappy off and weeing in her cot at the moment. A few days ago she did a dirty protest, and each time I go in to see her...i am afraid !!!

She is still crying, of sorts. I am ignoring. Bad mummy.

Oh blimey, that has to be the nightmare scenario. I would be scared too!

Grublin · 16/06/2008 21:10

Hi Pav,
my two are still running about their room I'm just going to go up there and let them know that I am not a happy mummy!

wonderstuff · 16/06/2008 21:12

Poor you, my lo has been put to bed and woken up again, not currently looking tired, but at least she hasnt worked out how to take her nappy off yet!! doesnt get easier does it?

pavlovthecat · 16/06/2008 21:17

Wonderstuff - She thinks she is soo clever taking her nappy off. Her little face is just filled with glee 'loooook mummy, look, look, napnap gone'. Or when she says 'pood mummy' from her nursery and I gone with fear on my face to find she is joking with me!

She has had weeks of not sleeping, just like your LO, not looking tired, going to sleep at 11pm, but over the last week she has started to sleep again, fingers crossed.

grublin you tell em!

All quiet right now....

We are strugglimg here too, so I sympathise!

Ds2 learnt to climb out of his cot, so we have put him in a bed and he won't stay it it! Or go to sleep

pavlovthecat · 16/06/2008 21:19

wallace oh dear nightmare situation or what?!!! You poor thing! Can he get out of his room?

OP posts:
Wallace · 16/06/2008 21:22

He can get out because dh is "in the middle" of putting up a stairgate on the door.

I'm ignoring the bangs and crashes ds is making at the moment...

pavlovthecat · 16/06/2008 21:24

Oh dear "in the middle' means it will take a while right?

Wallace · 16/06/2008 21:36

Well... It depends whether he ever remembers to pick up the drill from his dad's...

I have shut the bedroom door now which is really stiff, but he gets so upset

Is your dd asleep yet?

pavlovthecat · 16/06/2008 21:38

Asleep at last...for the moment! I might go get some shut eye while I can!
