I have seen these sleeping bags for baby being advertised, are they any good ? I have a little one who keeps kicking the covers off. Would one be any good any if so which type is the best?

swear by mine!!!

PlainFlum · 25/01/2005 10:07

However have seen other babies managing to crawl/drag themselves along in them hee hee, so praps when she is a tiny bit stronger she will realise she is not totally trapped.

my ds slugs along in his and now is walking in it, my nightmare is when he starts to unzip it in the years to come but i am wise to this and thinking of putting it on back to front anyone done this other nightmare is what if he grows up and can not sleep unless he is in one? and they only make them up to aged six

Tuck the zip fastener bit in at the bottom so they can't unfasten it! We swear by them, DD (20 mths) now says (when she wants to go for a nap) 'bag' not 'nap'. I love Grobag, used to think they were expensive but worth every penny!!

Lucycat · 25/01/2005 12:56

Oh also, once DD1 had a big girls bed with a duvet (pink cover of course!) she abandoned the bag without so much as a backward glance

Tinker · 25/01/2005 12:59

From what age can you use these? From birth or leave it a few weeks/months?

Sponge · 25/01/2005 13:02

Ds has been in one from birth - currently in 2.5 tog with just a sleepsuit under as our house isn't too cold.
It's brilliant.
Dd could never keep covers on when she was little so this is so much easier.
Mind you once dd turned 2 she went into a bad and has a duvet which does stay on so I imagine we'll do the same for ds - not keep him zipped up in a bag forever .

Sponge · 25/01/2005 13:02

That'll be into a "bed".

Think these are great. My DS aged 2 has one for nighttime as he is a real fidget and kicks covers off. My only nightmare is that he will work out the zip any day or that he will find the ability to climb out of the cot with it on . Sadly the cot sides will then have to go.

Thank you all. Didn't have these things 8 years ago.

weightwatchingwaterwitch · 26/01/2005 09:51

Tinks, I've got a 0-6 mos grobag, do you want it? It's pink and pretty.

weightwatchingwaterwitch · 26/01/2005 09:51

They didn't have them when ds was born either, they're great.

Tinker · 26/01/2005 19:01

www - ooo, yes please .

poppy101 · 26/01/2005 19:06

Tinker, I posted a message about Jojo website having them earlier today for clearance prices. I wanted one but didn't want pink, it was for my ds and didn't think that he would appreciate a pink one. Can't remember where I put the thread.

I'll do a search, thank you. I'm sure I'm having a boy as well but he'll never know

poppy101 · 26/01/2005 19:10

They had them for £9.99 plus postage, but I did post a 10% discount code earlier on Others section.

I love them so much better than the other options. I have used grobags and mothercare ones. Both were great.
