So my l.o is 16 months and literally sleeps between 3.5 hours to 4 hours a night thats it . She has 1 nap during the day . We have tried 2 naps , no naps and nothing has worked , as you can imagine me and dad are extremely exhausted
I understand all babies /toddlers are different but this is really different from my other 3 children .
So when she goes down at 8pm she goes straight to sleep without any issues till 9 then she awake screaming and crying . This goes on all night asleep for approximately 20 minutes then awake screaming again. We have tried to let her cry it out but screams that much she sends herself into a panic and is sick. We've tried changing mattresses , bedding , rooms , nightlight, every possibility you can think of we have changed to try and help her .
Is there any suggestions on what I can do to help my little girlie sleep before I take her to the doctors bevause I am concerned about her lack of sleep plus it's exhausting me and dad and is.not fair on our other children as it disturbs them and also we cant do much during the day as we just have no energy .

Thank u for reading from one extremely tired over stimulated momma .

I think you do need a doctors appointment. People might have suggestions - but also it sounds like something is keeping your little one up. It might be a while before you get answers, so I think you need to start the process.

This is well out of the bounds of normal there’s definitely something going on here. I’d speak to the GP/HV if they’re good where you are

Hi were based in derby . Im going to try and get threw the new year and then get her into the GP. She has become very very clingy during the day with me and dad and wont go to anyone else, iv always had a routine in place and there been no change in that its just frustrating me as I dont know what's wrong with her as she cant talk to me and then it makes me feel like im failing as a mother .

That’s definitely worth a GP trip that is far below the average sleep for a toddler

Hi we have been to see a GP and they are referring little one to a pediatrician . For the next 4 weeks I have to write a detailed diary of everything she does say to day so they can see if there is a sleep pattern or somethinf I myself catching during the day to help her but were getting somewhere
