16 MO - Waking 3+ times per night

Hi all,

Posting this as I am hoping someone has had similar experience or there is some advice which might help

My daughter is 16 months old and so far, we have only ever had one night where she slept through. Most nights, we usually have 2-4 wakings. Last night was every 1hr - 1:30hr so it feels completely relentless.

Since birth she has struggled with constipation & bad wind at night. We tried multiple formulas and since one, she’s been on Oat or Soy milk - this has definitely helped the wind but she still needs to take Laxido. A few days ago, she was straining so much she gave herself two huge nose bleeds.

Whilst the wind has improved, she still wakes multiple times. She doesn’t have a dummy, has a comforter and goes down to sleep very easily. I do think she’s dependent on her bottle though, we can either rub her back to settle her down to sleep or she will need 1-2 bottles of milk throughout the night if we can’t settle her.

We have also taken her private and the Consultant said they don’t think there’s anything wrong with her abadonen etc

Any advice welcome

Thanks x

Following this as we have an almost identical situation but a BF 17 mo baby. She's never slept through the night. We've just managed to get down to 1-2 wakes per night when I have to feed her to sleep. We cosleep most of the night which definitely helps but she's getting quite old for that. Also have had constipation issues for cow's milk intolerance. We cut out all milk products and soya and that helps but she still gets backed up quite often. Have you cut all cow's milk out? Was the oat milk better than the soya? It was a sleep consultant who first diagnosed DDs allergy, it's quite common for milk intolerance to mess with sleep. For us it wasn't enough though, even dairy free she wakes all the time
