dd3 has started sleepwalking this week.

thats makes all 3 girls sleepwalkers as well as me.

dh wont know what to do, he can never spot when they are sleepwalking/talking and it confuses him.

Why can't men figure this out? DH can never work out when dd is sleepwalking and is mystified when I am able to assess instantly whether she is sleepwalking or really awake.

Hence, I manage to steer her back to bed with the minimum of fuss, and he tries to wake her/ reason with her/argue with her, which always ends in tears.

I have explained how to tell the difference, but he seems to find it very difficult.

Nights must be very lively in your house misdee!

i know.

i tell him to look for the glazed look, lack of actual eye contact and with dd1 the inability to say what she wants and her talking gibberish.

dd3 did through me tonight, as she stumbled into her looking lost and isaid 'hello' but then she reverted back to looking dazed, took her to the loo and back to bed. she was asleep before she even hit the pillow.

I sleep walk, DH just waits until I get back into bed and then tells me in the morning laughing at me. Luckily none of my DDs have followed this trait - yet!

How do you manage things like sleepovers and school trips?

I have had a couple of scares on holiday when dd has almost wandered out of the room etc. I am a very light sleeper, and fortunately always hear her, but dh never does unless she actually comes and talks to him.

I get anxious about dd going on trips etc.

dd1 has only been on one sleepover with someone other than family so for now its not an issue. they usually get up and just chat gibberish or wander round the house for a bit before going back to bed.

Am hoping dd's grow out of it, i started sleepwalking closer to puberty, but all have started soon after night training and i can pretty much set the clock by dd2 sleepwanderings (she is due to wander in about 30mins). i know i had an walking talking episode the other day as i apparently woke up dh to ask if i had the left the tv on and locked the windows. for once i waqs talking sense and not gibberish lol.

i also wake up when i hear that creak of the bed meaning one is up.
