Struggling to know my baby’s cry

My baby is almost 7 months and she’s just got her first tooth, I can feel the second tooth not far behind and she’s been so not herself the last couple weeks. I keep reading about teething but can teething really be the cause of the fussiness? It sounds so silly but I obviously don’t remember how that must feel but she’s been really fussy taking bottles and not drinking much when she does. She’s fine with being spoon fed but bottles are a nightmare just now! She’s also waking up screaming 10 minutes after putting her in her cot which is so unlike her as well, she’s always been such an easy baby so when somethings up I feel so guilty I don’t know right away what the cause of her discomfort is. Every time I pick her up she settles but I put her back down and she’s screaming bloody murder again! I feel guilty I can’t tell what cries mean what sometimes and when she’s upset or we’re having a sleep regression it’s so hard to remember I’m not the only one going through this in the whole world. Does anyone have any advice/tips? First time mum here

I don't think anyone really knows what the cries mean, it's just a process of elimination. You can clearly tell the difference between fussing and being more distressed.

Teething can absolutely be it usually they have pain for a while and them one day they are happy and you notice a tooth. Have a look at her gums, can you see any areas that look like a tooth ready to come down? Have you tried teething rings, chews, powders or calpol?

Sorry I’m new to this site just getting the hang of it!

yeah she’s got 2 bottom teeth through now and I can feel one top one on the way as well, that’s all been in the space of about 2 weeks so it’ll be painful for her I just wonder if that’s the norm or if I could be doing more to help her. I’ve tried anbesol, calpol, teething toys I just feel so guilty and she’s my first so I feel like she’s missing out due to my trial and error and not having that previous knowledge
