Just that really! Does the perfect thing exist? I need to block out my husband's snoring while listening to music or an audiobook during my menopause induced insomnia.Got to be ok for side sleeping. I'm going round in circles looking for the perfect thing and I'm losing hope!

I have AirPods Pro2. Noise cancelling and block out snoring. Took a little while to get used to sleeping in them but I fall asleep with them in every night now. They generally fall out at some point in the night.

I second the Air Pods Pro 2. Stupidly expensive but worth every penny. I sleep on my side with bud in side I’m not sleeping on. They do fallout at some point but if I wake up I locate the ear bud, put it in the case and switch to the other side. Ironically I snore more than other half now so he has taken to doing the same. We need a large castle with separate wings Grin

I need something that I can put in both ears that don't fall out so unfortunately these don't sound suitable, thank you for replying though

Snoozeband. It’s life changing. You can get cheaper versions on Amazon etc. but I don’t know what the quality is like. Snoozeband is my best tip for anyone going to hospital or travelling or with a rhinoceros husband.

Seconding Snoozeband - that coupled with a deep sleep playlist on Spotify has saved my sanity!

NattyKnitter116 · 03/07/2025 08:24

I had a snoozeband and a few years back but it was too hot, the headphones didn’t cancel out the snoring and the speakers pressing in to my head made my outer ear sore. I’ve just had a look at the website and there are many models now (when I got one they only had a few models). Does anyone have the silk one and side sleep? What’s it like on the ears? I’m tempted as I wear an eye mask anyway but I’m doubtful about whether they’re actually effective at noise cancellation.

Just a wonder - doesn’t the constant noise from music etc have an effect to you? I tend to think the brain is meant to have a respite whilst sleeping?

I use a snoozeband too, doesn’t block out all the noise, but I also use basic foam earplugs and turn the volume up on the snoozeband so I can hear through them.

It’s beautiful and my husband hasn’t had a swift elbow to the ribs for months. 😆

Tintackedsea · 04/07/2025 07:24

@Loopylalalouyou can set it to go off after an hour or if you are listening to an app often there is a snooze (zzzz) function that lets you choose 15/30/45/60 mins.

I have the soundcore a20 and absolutely love them, can't sleep without them!
They don't have noise cancelling but they have just released the a30 which do - i think they are still on sale via kickstarter?
Mine stopped working briefly awhile ago and they immediately sent me new ones out with no questions, fab customer services!

I have some normal headphones by soundcore too and they are brill, despite being pretty cheap
