10 month old won’t sleep in cot

would love some advice please.

my 10 (almost 11 month old) absolutely hates her cot and suffers badly with separation anxiety. We do currently live in a one bedroom so her cot is in my room and so she is not used to sleeping in her own room alone.

the last two months we have been co-sleeping and I have tried to get her down in her cot but she will scream the place down and I do eventually give in. I am thinking about maybe paying for a sleep nanny but I wondered if there is any advice out there please.

once she is asleep she will also scream if she wakes up and no one is in the room with her.

What is the driver for wanting her to sleep on her own? If you will still be sharing a bedroom, is there much difference between cot and co-sleeping? Not trying to put you off, just understand.

If she screams on waking up, just go in and settle her. She is still little and needs help regulating.

At that age I put my ds in a floor bed with a high guard and he loved having more space to move around. Is it that she feels claustrophobic in the cot like mine did?

is the cot away from your bed or next to it? I took one side off and put ours between our bed and the wall completely touching our bed so DD sleeps next to me but in her cot.

Yes it is away from my bed, I think this may be a good idea to get het used to her cot!

Yes I’m not going to stress about it, I think it would be nice to have an hour or two in the evening to get things done as It just feels like I’m constantly having to settle her but I’m sure it will eventually work itself out
