We have one! We bought it when DD2 outgrew the normal next2me cot because she was not ready to go into her own room. We still have it now and she's 1yr but she very rarely sleeps in it - we mostly (unwillingly) cosleep 🥴 It's a bit of a faff to set up but we've found it useful. I didnt pay full price though - i found it on sale at UK baby centre for about half price.

Thank you!! I’m guessing it doesn’t work as good as co sleeping because it’s at a lower height than the bed so they are not right next to you but you could still reach them to hold their hand/pat them?

The UK regs mean that all of them have to be lower than the adult bed because there was a baby that died a few years ago and it was deemed there was a flaw in the old style designs. I found it not too bad, because as you say, you can reach over to shush/pat etc. On some nights, I used to put my head in the cot and keep my body on the bed 🙈 But DD2 fundamentally just wants to be in contact with me AT ALL TIMES 😅 so for now, its easier to have her in the bed. After her birthday, we are hoping to start transitioning her into the next2me more consistently and then try moving it into her own room. Last night it was quite useful because DD1 (3y9m) had a nightmare so she hopped into the next2me with her duvet and DD2 stayed sleeping in with me!

Aw like you say they just love to be in full contact! I hope the transition to DD’s room goes well!! ❤️
