my ds is driving me insane - he is 5 months and has a dummy, but he is getting harder and harder to settle - he not only wants his dummy, but his two teddies either side of his head. He can't keep his dummy in and I am resorting to holding it for him while gets off to sleep - he kicks and thrashes and it is like taming a wild beastie. This happens three or four times a night. He is in with us as I don't want him to wake up his sister. Help!!

have you tried singing or shushing? i find DS goes of better with a distraction that helps him sleep. Have also resorted to the classics CD when the voice runs out.

I have tried singing, stroking and shushing - he really struggles to relax into a sleepy state....might try a cd - or maybe white noise

hi, my one year old dd was hell to settle as well, i bought a glow in the dark poster thing to put in the ceiling, and it seem to work a treat, they are not to expensive and definitely worth a good nights rest, alternatively, try some fairy lights as a distraction
