12 month sleep regression??

Little man is 1 in 10 days and started crawling about a month ago. Obviously this means he can now sit up from laying down.

My issue is, he's started doing it in the night.

He's always been a brilliant sleeper and has slept through since 8 weeks.

Twice in the past week I've woken up and checked the monitor and he's been sat up in his bed (not sure if he was awake or not). When I went in to lay him back down, he just cries.

He's been able to roll both ways since about 6 months but has now started to roll onto his front but then seems to panic he can't get back. I think it's because now he rolls over, he's straight up on his knees.

Now thinking this could be a bit of a regression.

Anyone else had anything similar when their babies started crawling?

Don't go in to lay him down unless he's upset (eh oh I'm assuming he wasn't as you only knew as you looked).

Honestly, just leave him be.

Two of my six randomly sat up, still asleep (sometimes half asleep), at various points through toddlerhood. First one I went in and carefully lay them back down and none of us got any sleep. Second one I heeded ny Nana's advice and only went in if she was crying. We all got much more sleep!

Second vote for you only go in if he's really upset and clearly awake. My DS (15 months) randomly sits up in the night awake or half awake and just resettles. They can do some weird things when transitioning from one sleep cycle to the next. Sometimes DS will sit up half awake, cry out and moan a bit, and just lay back down and carry on sleeping.

I only flipped him over once last night because he sounded like he started to get upset. The rest of the night he slept on his tummy. It's almost like he's forgotten how to roll back, but he's been doing it for months 😴 Ewan dream sheep is out saviour though 😂
