Baby never sleeps

Need help, my baby is 8 months old and she never sleeps, she only has cat naps in the day 20minutes at most and that is probably only twice a day and at night she is just the same, we have tried everything and I am at breaking point, I go back to work in less than two weeks and I don't know how I am going to survive! Please tell me I'm not the only one who has a baby that doesn't sleep, luckily our 4 year old is a deep sleeper!

Honestly I feel like I could've written your post myself. I'm one month behind you though with a 7mo who barely sleeps throughout the day unless she's in the car (but also will wake up as soon as the car stops and hated the car until about 2m ago - would literally scream the whole duration I was driving) She hated the pram too and so would only ever nap in a sling/carrier which was a god send but now she doesn't mind the pram but still will not sleep in it.

If I do manage to get her down for a nap in the house she will sleep for 20m at most.

Then you'd think because she's hardly slept during the day she surely must sleep at night, but no. Up some nights every 30 minutes.

It's exhausting. I have a toddler too so my days just feel surreal right now and I'm also back to work in a couple of months.

From what I've read, growth spurts and separation anxiety can be rife at this age as well as teething and their little bodies adjusting to solids. Also look into whether there's a potential allergy that's causing a bit of grief?

I keep telling myself it won't be like this for long but I get it, you have my sympathies and you're definitely not alone x
