Toddler first duvet?

Hello, my daughter is 19 months old and want to try her with a duvet soon. We introduced a pillow a month ago and she has been loving it. Which tog should i be purchasing? Have done a bit of online research and saw some people saying they purchased a 4 tog and used this all year round and dressed their child appropriately? Or do I need a thicker one for winter and lighter duvet for summer? Her room is always around 20 degrees as our new build house generally keeps quite warm but we use the appropriate tog sleeping bag at the moment. Thanks! :)

Can't remember the tog, but we used the little ikea ones for our kids as they fit nicely on the smaller toddler beds, and they were great! Not too heavy.

Depends on the size of the bed. If its a toddler bed then 4.5tog is the heaviest you're advised to use. If it's a single bed you could use a heavier one when it's colder. My 2 teenagers use 4.5tog year round.

I used a light (4 tog maybe?) Single duvet, but I laid it lengthways across ds's toddler bed. The width of the duvet was just right for the length of the bed, and I had plenty of duvet to tuck in to stop ds from kicking it off.

I recently bought my toddler a 4tog duvet (from Asda) and it feels too light for winter time so I ended up using a single one we already had during the colder nights. I feel like the 4tog one is better for spring/summer/autumn.

Sorry I forgot to mention she is in a cot bed :)

I wouldn't exceed 4.5tog in a cotbed. You can add a blanket or extra clothing if you feel she is cold

I used the gro-to-bed sheets. They're aren't cheap, but are very good quality the zips prevent rolling out of bed or duvets falling off resulting in a cold toddler.

The duvets are 4 tog. You don't have to use the ground-to-bed duvet. I used a wool duvet (wool is a good insulator)

Gro-to-bed not ground to bed....blinking autocorrect
