Pregnancy insomnia?

It's nearly 5am and I'm very close to pulling my first ever all nighter at 25 weeks pregnant with a 6 year old who will be awake in 3 hours.

Has anyone else experienced this before? I am wide awake :(

I'm also pregnant with my second and have had insomnia on and off since early on, I feel for you it's exhausting 😫

Last night I couldn't fall asleep until 2.30 and have now been wide awake since 5ish too! I'm 38 weeks so nearing the end and would love to be banking some sleep but doesn't seem to be happening.

Sorry no advice, just solidarity. I have however had weeks of being able to sleep really well, so hopefully it isn't a constant for you! X

Insomnia was my first and most enduring pregnancy symptom each time. I remember getting laughed at for saying that, at least when the baby was born I'd be able to sleep when I had the chance. People laughed at it but I genuinely slept better with a newborn than when pregnant.

Omg, pregnancy insomnia is horrific. I had it through the whole of my pregnancy. In the early weeks, I was prescribed a sleeping tablet, but I didn't take it for long. I remember thinking that I didn't know how I was going to survive the newborn trenches feeling so sleep deprived . As soon as the baby arrived, it vanished. Thank christ!!!
Honestly, I feel so sorry for you. The only thing that worked for me was magnesium cream, slathered it all over me before bed, and I felt it made a difference.
