Nap transitioning 2 to 1

My DD is 10 months and I'm really struggling to get 2 naps in. She wakes up around 7am and she had a forced nap around 10.30/11 and another around 2.30/3pm but it's so hard to get the two in and she'll end up going to bed at 8.30/9pm now.

We tried her on one nap 7.20am wake, 12.30 - 2.30pm nap and bed at 7/7.30pm which worked great however, the day after she only napped for 1 hour so was knackered by bed time and again, couldn't fit a second nap in. She also woke up quite a bit in the night, assuming because she was overtired?

Any advice? She is also teething and we're working on getting her in a cot so a few changes to contend with

How long are the two naps? Can you shorten them?

I think mine had a similar pattern watching that age but because she got up at 6, bedtime at 7.30 didn't feel like it was too late. I would have given a lot for her to sleep later in the morning but I'm not sure i would have been happy to lose part of my evening. . . 10 months sounds young to drop to one nap, mine didn't do it until 15 months, but I imagine it's not unheard of at 10 months although probably rare.

You're trying to change some of the biggest routines of her short life all at once. I would do one at a time right now.

When DD dropped to one nap, she was 15 months ish. She would do one nap one day, two naps the next for quite a while. Then just needed two naps at a weekend for example to catch up. Sometimes she fell asleep at 4ish and had a "danger nap" so she just went to bed later that night. I was always pretty relaxed with when she slept and followed her lead and she's always been a brilliant sleeper.
