12 month regression

Hi, am looking for some advice. My daughter turned 1 in October now 14 months, she hit the 12 month sleep regression at 11 months and it seems to still be going on! 3 months!! She wakes up multiple times, I try to never get her out of bed and instead rub her back until she has fallen asleep. This works sometimes but most nights she is awake for 2/3 hours with me just rubbing her back. She has her eyes shut but the minute I take my hand away she screams! Any advice will be much appreciated.

DS did this during his 12 month regression. he was a good sleeper and suddenly would wake in the night upset and we would go in and settle, would lay there eyes shut and we thought he was asleep, as soon as we would leave he would stand straight up and cry. which told us he was actually fine as he would settle and stop when we were there and then start crying when we left, so just separation anxiety. it was horrible but we started leaving him to cry for a a bit/few mins. We would go back in if he was in an absolute state with crying but otherwise left him to it. He did eventually settle back down and realised he was actually ok to go back to sleep. it's hard, but it did pass.

How long did it last for you?

I left her to cry but she can go hours on end If I let it go on probably! I cap it at 40 mins at the mo x

we were quite lucky it was about 2 weeks he was unsettled, he was also in a leap and when this ended he also settled down. one night i was in and out between 4 and 6am and he didn't go back to sleep at all, then got him up for the day at 6am. like you I try not to get him out of his bed and defo not out of his room. it's tough!
