Well my DS slept really well for once and I did not sleep at all because of back pain. Today is going to be bad - any tips for getting through it?

Canyou get a nap in later on? Either when your DS sleeps (if he does) or if youcan get someone to look after him for an hour or so?

Other than that, fresh air and don't do anything too complicated!

and unless you HAVE to because of your back, don't sit down for more than a minute.. you'll feel worse!

Probably best not to drive anywhere, tiredness and driving don't mix.

No chance of a nap but I will hopefully go to bed after DS goes down around seven!

Hi Stefka, my lo was awake for part of every hour from 1am so I am with you on the tirdness. I am planning to get out and about as much as possible.. park, library, local shops and then collapse in a heap sometime this evening. Fresh air seems to take the edge off.

Also, think about a plan if you're suffering from insomnia again - nothing worse than lying in bed in pain/unable to sleep. E.g. getting up and having a hot drink (cocoa) and reading a book, having a warm bath etc. It can be oddly nice to be up when everyone else is asleep, apart from the tiredness the next day! And you might find you relax so much you get some sleep in anyway

I always found it was best to go out and about as much as possible (ie don't give yourself time to realise how knackered you feel!) Also, don't do anything that requires your brain to work!

I hope you get some sleep tonight xx

Company. Preferably adult. Even better if it's an adult with children of DS's age so that he has additional entertainment without too much input from you.
