Loud self settling

9 month old can self settle in the night but does it by crying for 10 minutes. This happens 3 or 4 times a night which really disturbs our sleep. We feed her once about 4am when she cries for longer than 10 mins.
Not sure what to do!

Maybe they stop crying after 10 minutes because they realise nobody is coming to give them a cuddle/food...maybe try a cuddle or earlier feed to help them go back to sleep quicker/longer. Babies needs change, they may be going through growth spurt and need an extra feed now.

Not sure that's really self settling.....

Why do you leave her crying?

I still go into my crying 3 year old once a night.... I was very much still up and down all night with both my breastfed 9 month olds!

Why do you leave her crying?

When we go back in she gets much more upset than when we just leave her. We've tried feeding and rocking and each time it was taking more than an hour for her to go back. We realised when we left her she went back after about 10 minutes and It's more whining than crying.

Clearly someone who hasn't been sleep deprived or someone with no empathy or has forgotten how hard it is to raise a baby. Mothers supporting other mothers is so important. If you've nothing nice or helpful to say why say it?

My baby is 7 months and is also a loud self settler. She will literally shout for 5-10 mins until she is asleep. This can be in her cot or in the car seat/pushchair, basically anytime she falls asleep. It's not a case of her giving up when she realises someone isn't coming (she even makes noises when fed to sleep), it's just her way or winding down.
It's ok during the day but always seems 10x louder during the night and it disturbs us. There is no point going in to see her as she will just get upset and wake up fully.
I have no advice but just wanted to show solidarity.
