At wits end!

Baby is 13 months now. She has always been a rubbish sleeper but for the last few weeks wants to b/feed in the night every 2 hours and it’s killing me. She screams until she gets fed and even if I cap the feed and she’s not full she won’t sleep. Sleep training we’ve tried in the past but it seems to make her more distressed. Currently she wakes and screams and stands up so we go in and feed her and put her back down which works 80 percent of the time. The other time my husband has to sit in the dark with her on his chest until she’s asleep then transfer but this only works if she’s full of milk. Her day eating is poor but it’s a bad cycle. Even when I’m at work so no milk, she doesn’t eat much at all. What method of sleep training works best for this age? She just gets so so distressed. It’s worth saying too she’s so clingy in the day and always has been. She never really plays independently and is constantly being held. She did have her injections not too long ago but the sleep issues predate this. Anyone offer any solidarity or advice? Thank you

She shouldn't be needing to eat every two hours at this age. How much is she eating/drinking in the day? What are her nappies like? Did she suffer with reflux/have any tummy issues as a baby? Feeding for comfort is normal, but if you think she's feeding because she's hungry that is something to look into.

How is her daytime sleep? What does she do in a day activities/nursery etc?

Sounds like reverse cycling is playing a part here . She won't eat in the day as she's full up from the night so it's all the wrong way round.

You might have to have a few tough nights till she gets it but the nights sound rough anyway.
She will starting eating in the day when not having the night feeds and it should start to balance.
