15 wo DS lost the ability to nap in the day

During the first couple of months he was hopeless and would only sleep if out in a pram or carrier. Then he found the ability to have 1.5 hr naps in the day - it was bliss, I was starting to get a little bit of normality back. However, in the last couple of weeks he will only sleep for about 25 minutes and even that is after a lot of rocking, pushing etc. I wish I could say he was a power napper but he gets really over-tired soon after.

Has anyone else had this? Did it pass for you? I do try and sneak in to his room when he's just stirring to see if I can rock him back to sleep but this never works. He does sleep quite well at night now though so I suppose I should be grateful for that!

I am having a similar situation and am worrying myself sick about whether the poor little one is going to make herself absolutely frazzled. For several weeks now our 15wo has stopped being able to switch off in the day and at least a couple of times has gone through the ENTIRE day without a nap. What worries me is she only seems to want 9 hours (broken) sleep at night - so she's not getting much more rest than a grown adult! She gets at least one walk a day - often 2 - and has been known to lie awake in pram (screaming often) for up to 50 mins before she'll get a meagre 30 - 40 min nap. We are trying putting her in her cot too but it always ends in tears and as she has been having reflux, I'm always worried that she's in pain and don't manage to let her cry. I consider it to have been a successful day if she gets 2 x 40 minute naps, but achieving those can take HOURS of patient sssshhhing or pacing the streets. HELP!
