Co-sleepers - what do you do when another one comes along?

DS (15 months) has for the last 6 weeks or so been sleeping with us. He slept very well when younger, then started waking, and if he's in with us he sleeps better so we sleep better.

We've become "accidental" co-sleepers.

It's actually really nice, but I'm wondering what we do when No 2 comes along. Should we "deal" with this soon before that happens, or is there a way of co-sleeping with DS and having baby in crib but surely he'll wake up?

Well, probably you would need to either
a) move first little on into their own bed or
b) get a bigger bed

err, ime you just get more squashed. all three of ours turned up in our bed between 5am and 9am this morning, all feeling sorry for themselves with colds.
I evicted any of ours who were fancying the cosleeping idea when i got a bump at about 7mo, cos at that stage i found it quite hard enough to get comfortable without a small wriggling bed-bug to contend with. It was explained to them why they needed to sleep in their own beds, with the 'deal' that they were welcome to come in with me & DH for a snuggle near to "getting up time". Also, should you want to keep lo in your bed to give him security and get all of you a better sleep - (the reason we put up with small invaders too) small people tend to sleep like little logs in parents warm bed and we've never had one wake up with baby crying or me getting up to feed them. just needed to do a bit of re-arranging when bfing on that side
