Hi everyone, I have a four week old with silent reflux which seems much worse at night. I have the babylo next to me cosleeper. Is it safe for a baby that young to sleep on an incline? I'm seeing mixed articles online. He gets very caught up and ends up dry having if lying flat.
Thanks for any advice you can offer .

Hi, my DS also had reflux and we tried putting his cot on an incline when he was a newborn but it didn't really help. He ended up sliding down a bit in the cot and I was uncomfortable with it so we stopped doing it. The reflux then got much better by about 10-12 weeks on it's own. You could try a slight incline, see if it helps.

I had to put mine on an incline- if I didn't he would throw up and choke. Every. Single. Time. Its safe to say I didn't sleep well as was always checking on him. I did used to try and adjust it back to flat once he was sound asleep but sometimes that didn't work.
It was a Dr at my first babies 6 week check who told me to do that and he seemed surprised when I asked if it was safe as NHS Website says not to.
So yes both of my boys slept with incline as newborns.

No it's not. See Lullaby Trust guidance. Mattress must be firm flat and waterproof.
