When & How should I get my DS (22mo) out of his Grobag?

Hi All.
I am still being woken at 5 past Stupid every morning. I am wondering if being in a grobag has anything to do with it, and also starting to think about the ol' cot - bed issue.

Does anyone have any tips or thoughts about when it is best to make the change from the grobag, and how to do it?

All advice listened to!

Why do you think its the gro-bag? Is he compalining about it?

Hi - Sort of..I think! During the night and in the morning I can hear banging and thrashing which then leads to crying out.. I'm imagining him getting knotted up! Of course this is just speculation.. I'm too scared to go and check in case I wake him up properly..! I should just clarify that he usually settles (well at least he does at night..)I'm not that mean!!

Just try him withut it one night. If he sleeps better keep it off and if not, give it him back!

I guess that's me told! Thanks for the advice

DD has not had a grobag for a while now, because she outgrew hers and I never got round to getting another one . She has been in fluffy cute woolly sleepsuits and a blanket, which has been absolutely great for her as she is able to stand up when she wants can move about etc.

She did kick her blanket off, but now at 21 months she pulls it back over herself. When I lay her down for a sleep she actually wants to cover herself, tucks one arm over and one underneath. Very cute!

We do have good central heating tho and her room gets warm easily so its not on all night and we know she is warm enough. She is vocal enough to tell us if not now though!

I think you should try it eery now and then get him used to it, if thats what you want, see how he is without it, esp as summer is coming.

Moved DD to a duvet about two months ago at 2yrs. She was fine. Happy about her Pooh Bear duvet. I put it the cot (still not gone into a bed) sideways so I could tuck it in at the sides. I go in when we go to bed to cover her up again as she's usually kicked it off.

Thanks - I was also thinking the summer (if we get one) would be a good time to try, so will give it a go when/if the weather gets warmer. I love the idea of her tucking herself in - aren't they just so ace?!

we only gave up grobags when we moved to beds - thought it mean to leave them in sleeping bags if they were to fall out, could they get back in bed - plus i liked the idea of them coming into our room to wake us in the morning.

They now have normal single duvets on a toddler bed going across ways

oh and they moved to beds at 23 months, they are now 3 and half
