18 Month Sleep Regression

My 18 month old is in a really bad sleep regression and I just feel like I'm pulling my hair out. He's usually a really good sleeper will sleep 6/7pm til 7am most nights. The last few weeks he's been fighting his morning nap (only one he has now) and fighting his bedtime. I've tried bottle before bed, cuddles until he's falling asleep and then putting down and even letting him cry it out for a few minutes and he's just relentless. Seems like whatever I do he just won't settle for sometimes an hour or longer until he's fully worn himself out. Any advice please?

His sleep needs might have changed, at 17 months we had to lengthen wake windows and reduce the length of the remaining nap. But our little girls sleep regression was truly terrible, it started with 4/5am wake ups, progressed on to split nights where she was fully and completely awake for 3.5 hours in the middle of the night, then once we shortened her nap and lengthened her wakes she continued to have several wakes each night. . . . then after nearly 3 months it gradually has been tailing off and now she is sleeping through most nights again although it's not 100% back to normal yet. It's been a very horrible and difficult time. I hope yours passes quickly!

Could he be overtired? So could moving the morning nap to a little later help? A lot of toddlers do better with an afternoon rather than a morning nap.

I was actually thinking the same thing about the later nap, I'm just concerned because his bedtime has always been 6pm and if he has an afternoon nap he might not be tired enough for bedtime. He's always had such great sleeping that I've not really had to alter it before except from 2 naps to 1. He's definitely teething which is probably playing a huge part aswell.
