I've just driven round the block to make ds (nearly 2 ffs) go to sleep. He's been awake since 5am as usual, piggy eyed and droopy with tiredness but will not lay down in his bloody bed and go to sleep. Literally at the end of my road in the car and the little blighter is snoring. What do you do???

as my previous post was quite unhelpful, can only tell what we do / have done with ours. Daytime sleeps have always been in the pram. If you're out and about, fine and fab. If we're in, they still get strapped in the pram straight after lunch [oooh that sounds a bit harsh much gentle but firm chatting to the effect i must add] and put in the pram in our conservatory, windows open, often togged up as we would if going for a walk as the conservatory can be more the temp of outdoors anyway. At 2 he'll understand and (eventually) enjoy routines like this. But also at two, take hope from the fact that the daytime sleep issue won't go on for too much longer.
