Stop nightfeed

My 7 month old is still waking for at least one night feed. She drinks the whole bottle (6oz) but is getting more than enough in the day, but isn't particularly thirsty or hungry in the mornings. She's a healthy weight and I feel she's grown accustomed to having milk at 3am now. People have said replace the formula with water but I feel she's just going to outright reject that! I thought about slowly decreasing the amount of milk offered to her at 3am each week.... anyone tried this or any other tips? Do I need to just go cold turkey?

Ours was doing this- I gradually reduced it to 2oz an oz at a time over a few weeks. I think ultimately around 9 months she started sleeping through sometimes, then had a slightly rocky period where she was waking but the bottle wasn't sending her to sleep or she didn't really want it. Then around 10 months she started sleeping through pretty consistently. I worried about how I was going to wean her off it but she basically did it herself.

If she's downing a full 6oz bottle then she probably needs it. One wake up at that age is amazing really 😅

Another here that think that one wake up a night is brilliant at 7 months.

It's fairy unusual for them not to wake for a feed at this age.

What time is her last feed before the 3 am one?

Yikes. The first time we got a 6h block with no feeds was 5 months. At 7 months we were still on 2-3 feeds a night, quite often.

Yes, you'll want to ramp down and ditch it at some point, but Id wait til the solids have ramped up to 3 meals a day...
